movescu with the -aem option?

#1 Post by dhavaldalal »

hi
I am using the movescu application for remote moves..
The images gets stored by Default where the movescu application seems to be running.
Whien i run the movescu applcation with the -aem option
./movescu -v -aec COMMON -aet MOVESCU -aem DATA +P 10001 -P -k 0008,0052="PATIENT" -k 0010,0020="*" IP 10000
where DATA is a folder in the Dicom Directory.. I want my images to be stored here.

For the imagectn server which i query i have added the following information
I have modified my imagectn.cfg as
///////
HostTable BEGIN

destination = (DATA , IP, 10000)
movescu = (MOVESCU, IP, 10000)
SERVICE = movescu, destination
HostTable END

AETable BEGIN

COMMON /usr/local/dicom/db/COMMON R (200, 1024mb) ANY
DATA F:\Dicom\db\DATA RW (9, 1024mb) SERVICE
AETable END
/////////////

please let me know if its possible to do this? What is the aem option for?
is it for moving the images to a 3rd computer?
if not any suggestions how to implement it. i need it cause my application which i am developing will need this.
thanks
Dhaval

Check your configuration. With the -aem option movescu transmits a symbolic AETITLE to imagectn, and imagectn resolves this into an IP address and port number from its own config file. In the config file, however, I read port number 10000 whereas movescu seems to be listening on port 10001. This cannot work.
