I need help to display an image preview using html5 canvas

Hi at all,

I wrote a web application using html5 and javascript to upload DICOM files to my web server from user local PC but I am unable to display jpg or png preview of image contained into dicom files to be sure that is the right image to upload.
I found The X Toolkit javascript class but I am not a better programmer to use this class easly and immediately.
Therefore I need a little help.
How can I do to write an easy javascrpt code to display images stored into Dicom files?
I do not want to manipulate images but only display them on the fly into <jpg> tags or <canvas>

I have little code that can display the image and zoom in and out. may be it for u or not .
