Compiling DCMTK for Multiplatform Use (iOS, macOS, tvOS)

#1 Post by Cyril Zakka »

Hello,

I hope everyone is doing well. I'm looking for some help on compiling and installing DCMTK for use in a Multiplatform application for iOS, macOS and tvOS (arm64 for M1/M2 chips and A chips). I was able to follow the instructions on an old blog post: http://www.cppblog.com/kesalin/archive/ ... k_ios.html to compile the project but it seems that this only works for macOS. Trying to reproduce the same steps for iOS or tvOS results in error in Xcode. Are there any updated tutorials regarding the use of DCMTK for iOS? Any example projects I can take a look at?

Best,
Cyril

Unfortunately, no. iOS and tvOS are not supported platforms for DCMTK (although I would be very exited to see a DICOM-enabled smart TV :P )
For MacOS, the build process is the same as for other Unix/Posix-like systems, based on CMake.
