Hi Offis team,
When using storescu for a pacs migration, I encounter errors when I try to upload more than 20.000 dicom files in a folder. It looks like the tool runs out of memory. Could it be that the stack/heap for the precompiled windows executables is limited? I can do a workaround, by limiting the number of files per folder to 20.000, but I wonder if there is a more elegant solution.
Best regards,
Arvid

Re: Storescu bug?
Yes, in principle, it could be the limited stack size of the storescu.exe file, because all command line arguments are stored in a list on the stack. Personally, I've never used any of the DCMTK command line tools on Windows with so many files, but on my Linux machine there is no problem with even more than 200,000 files. I just checked that.
Did you already try to recompile the DCMTK on Windows with increased stack size?
