Multi-slice CT using STORESCP

#1 Post by Sarath »

Hi,

I have a problem when I transmit multi-slice CT from HERMES to “STORESCP. It transmits each slice individually. But with other programs, HERMES transmits as a multi-volume DICOM image. Could please help on this?

I don't know what "HERMES" is, but in DICOM CT slices are in most cases transmitted individually, because the traditional CT Image Storage SOP Class requires this. The new "Enhanced CT" SOP Class allows for a combination of multiple slices into one object, but is not supported yet by most modalities. StoreSCP, however, does support it (at least in the current version).

Hi
HERMES is a processing workstation for Nuclear Medicine. It trasmits multi-CT to other DICOM servers without splitting. Any suggestions

Enable the debug option in storescp and check which presentation contexts are not accepted during association negotiation. That should provide a hint.
