I am using the latest dcmtk-3.6.1_20161012_snapshot with Microsoft Visual Studio Community 2015 version 14.0.25425.01 Update 3.
I am not a CMake expert so any pointers on how to resolve this error will be greatly appreciated.
It is most likely either a problem with your compiler setup or with the way that you are using CMake. Did you compile something else with your setup so far? Regarding CMake: are you using the GUI or do you launch it via Command line? In both cases, make sure you correctly selected Visual Studio 2015, either via the combo box or via specifying -G "Visual Studio 14 2015 [ARCH]". Have a look at these pages: https://cmake.org/cmake/help/v3.1/manua ... ors.7.html https://cmake.org/cmake/help/v3.1/gener ... 02015.html
I have found the relative articles about this error and created and run a default C++ project in Visual Studio, so the compilers are installed.
I also found an old issue with CMake being confused with the Windows 10 SDK and removed that too with no luck.
I am using the GUI version of CMake. Using CMake v3.7.0-rc2 allows me to select VS 2015 which I think is the correct item instead of VS 14 2015. Selecting VS14 2015 gives the same (error) result.
I am wondering whether people on the list are successfully using DCMTK in a similar setup or not, and if there are any extra steps necessary to support VS 15 under Windows 10. I'll try again with a clean installation of Windows 10 and let you know how it goes.
I am compiling the latest snapshot version of DCMTK (20160630) on an up-to-date Windows 10 using Visual Studio 2015 and CMake 3.6.1. I did not find any problems so far.
Thanks for the info Michael. I guess there is something wrong with my VS setup.
I am already installing VS 15 on a clean Windows 10 and I'll see what happens. Do you have the Windows 10 SDK installed?
I am having issues in setting up the latest snapshot of dcmtk-3.6.1_20161102 with visual studio 2015 community edition.
Right now I am in need of dsr2xml.exe binary from the snapshot dcmtk-3.6.1_20161102
can anyone has this binary please share it..snapshot dsr2xml.exe has ignore parsing errors option.
